INDIBA® Activ ProRecovery patented technology is based on equipment that generates radio frequency waves. By way of a form of electromagnetic interaction based on the capacitor model, it generates currents of electric charges present inside tissue in the form of ions. The equipment functions in two different modes: Capacitive and Resistive, by means of two different types of electrodes. The Capacitive electrode is coated with an insulated polyamide material, and treatment is concentrated on the muscle and soft tissues. The Resistive electrode is not coated and treatment acts on the most Resistive parts of the musculoskeletal system (bones, tendons, and ligaments).
Unlike many other forms of electrotherapy, the benefits of INDIBA® Activ Therapy derive from the fact that the current is not transmitted by direct contact, but by the movement of attraction and repulsion of electric charges. This action creates intense stimulation at cellular level, triggering the natural repair processes of the body. Biostimulation of the tissues generates vasodilation with an increase in blood flow, reduction of pain, reduction of muscle strain and draining of edema.
